Fondue Flavors

A few days ago, my friend Kristina joined me for a my favorite treat - fondue!  We dined at Fedora, a swanky sort of downtown restaurant.  I'm not a big fan of all black decor, but the general atmosphere is pretty nice.  Our waitress was friendly and helpful.

There were several fondues that sounded appetizing, but after much indecisiveness, we narrowed it down to two. Kristina chose the Cheddar and Ale Fondue.  It comes with soft pretzels and sausage (which we switched out for grilled chicken).  I selected the Sicilian Fondue, which is accompanied by pepperoni cubes and pita bread.  All the fondues also include carrots and broccoli.

Both fondues were so delicious that I honestly can't decide which one I liked better.  The only thing that could have made it better would have been more bread.  We actually ended up ordering an extra plate of pretzels - yum!  It was nice that we were able to switch out items we didn't want for others.  In fact, I'll probably forego the broccoli next time and get more bread.  Can you tell I'm a bread fan? :)

Overall, it was a good experience.  Four out of five stars (****)
